Problem:

If a platform agent has the necessary files for file event identification, it does not check against the central instance to confirm if the file event definition is still associated with it. This can lead to duplicate raises of file events for the same file arriving. Each raise coming from a different process server object.

Workaround:

A restart of the platform agent after removing the files in the fevents directory should prevent the issue from occurring again in the future.

• The fevents directory is located in /agentinstalldir/var/(servername)/(instancename)/fevents by default.
