Summary
The orchestror allows to submit a close list for a specific close date. Such a close list can include hundreds or even thousands of tasks. Only a small number of these tasks typically will be executed immediately but the vast majority of tasks are only executed some time in the future based on defined start time or because a pre-decessor task needs to be completed first. Yet the current architecture results will trigger all tasks of the close list immediately despite the vast majority will be put on status “Chained”. Apart from performance issues, another disadvatage is that the tasks and its parameter can no longer be changed. This significantly limits flexibility for the close administrator as he is no longer able to make changes and adjustments to tasks in a running close list.
Therefore a new architecture be has been introduced where tasks will only be submitted at the time when they are really needed (based on time and predecessors being completed). More details in Roso 14303
In order to enable the close task list manager to make still changes, the workbench needs to be enhanced to select one or multiple tasks and allow changes to the selected tasks and task parameters
Changes for tasks in already submitted task list:
●Add milestones/ change milestones
●Add task parameters e.g. responsibilities, timings, escalation routes
●Changes for single task or multiple tasks (mass changes)
